Son of Yoel and Hannah. He was born on 28.7.1949 in Kibbutz HaMa’apil, where he studied at the elementary school in the kibbutz and in the Ma’ayan educational institution in Ein Hahoresh. Amazing application. He was able to share his time between his studies and his hobbies, and all the other activities and commitments he took upon himself.Remi was full of life, very active and energetic, and thanks to his will, perseverance, internal discipline and physical ability, he succeeded He did not promise himself, or anyone else, to do, act or take on a role, without being sure that he could keep his promise: He was a member of the “Hapoel Hama’apil” volleyball team. He played the violin, loved to listen to classical and modern music, and loved to sing his evening bass. He was very fond of photography, chess and folk dancing, and was ashamed of these qualities and tried to hide them from behind a rug of roughness: he was connected to his family and his kibbutz, was a very devoted son and a loving brother and worried about his younger brother and sister. He would go out to the fields to see how the crops developed in his absence, and in the second week of January 1969 he was drafted into the IDF. He began his army service at the Nahal Brigade, where he completed basic training and a brigade commander’s course with honors. In this course he completed among the outstanding students and at the end of the course the training committee on the same basis as he completed the course. Although he was not comfortable with the role of instruction, he did his work with loyalty and responsibility, and his commanders were very pleased with him. But all the while he wanted to move to a combat unit. He felt that he was able to contribute more to the army than he did in this position and wanted to participate in the activities and not to engage in training. After his efforts he managed to move to the commando unit, despite the fact that they were required to sign a permanent army service. He served as a lieutenant colonel and later as a company commander, where he also fulfilled his duties with honors and was able to find satisfaction in the work. During his years of service he maintained excellent relations with his comrades in the unit, with his commanders and subordinates. When he came home on holiday, he would radiate youthful joy, optimism and optimism around him. On the 27th of Marcheshvan 5727 (27.10.1971), Lieutenant Rami fell in the line of duty and was brought to eternal rest in the kibbutz where he was born. We placed many hopes for the future in light of his achievements in the relatively short period in which he served with us. Within a short period he became fond of his subordinates and commanders. His sharpness and serious attitude were exemplary. “On the day of the” thirty “the kibbutz leaflet appeared, with an addition in memory of Rami: On the anniversary of his death, the kibbutz published a booklet in his memory.
