Elmaliach, David

Son of Yosef and Simi. Born in 1954 in the city of Casablanca, Morocco. And that same year his family immigrated to Israel. He completed his studies at an elementary school in Tel Hanan, near Haifa. He spent the years before his enlistment in various kibbutzim – first at Kibbutz Dovrat and later on Kibbutz Kfar Hahoresh. In the kibbutz he became acquainted with the work of the land and the spirit of fulfillment and joined the “Lan” nucleus. He underwent agricultural training and operational employment with the nucleus and was awarded the “Operational Service Certificate”. On 13th of Tammuz 5733 (13.7.1973) he fell while fulfilling his duties and was laid to rest in the military cemetery in Haifa.
