Elmaliach, Chaim

Haim, son of Esther and Rafael Elmaliach. Haim was born in Safed, Israel on February 15, 1960. He grew up and was educated in his hometown. Haim joined the Israel Police on June 5, 1983. In the following years he served in a variety of police positions, including patrols and investigations. In his last position he served as a criminal registrar at the Safed Claims Office. In 2005, he was diagnosed with cancer. Over the next few years he dealt with the disease heroically; he underwent difficult treatments and at the same time made sure to get to work. Haim was fifty-two years old when he died. He was laid to rest in the military cemetery in Safed. He left behind his wife and six children.
