Elkayam, Shimon

Son of Masoud and Joy. He was born on 15.1.1942 in the city of Casablanca in Morocco. Immigrated to Israel in 1956. He completed his studies at the elementary school at the “David Raziel” youth village in Herzliya and later attended high school in Netanya and even in Hadera and received a matriculation certificate in the agricultural track. He showed talent in painting. He was drafted into the IDF in July 1961 as part of the Nahal Brigade. He fell in the line of duty on the 16th of Shevat 5723 (February 9, 1963) and was brought to eternal rest in the military cemetery in Nahariya
