Eliyahu, Avner


Son of Ya’akov and Badria. He was born in the city of Arbil in Iraq in 1941. At the age of nine, he immigrated to Eretz Israel with his parents, where he lived in Moshav Eliflet, where he lived as a farmer. He worked as an agricultural instructor on behalf of the Jewish Agency, and spent most of his free time after reading books and acquired a large library of his own, especially in the words of well-known writers and poets. He was drafted into the IDF in August 1960 and was in the infantry but was later assigned to serve In the military police there was a sports instructor. After his discharge he would go on reserve duty from time to time and be a good soldier and a favorite of everyone who knew him. During his service in Rosh Pina, on 12.6.1967, he fell and was brought to rest in the military cemetery in Nahariya.
