Elimelech , Avraham


Son of Roza and Chaim. He was born in 1915 in Komotini, Greece, where he studied at the Alliance school in his city, and then spent several years in the carpentry profession, and he immigrated to Israel in 1935. He lived in Tel Aviv in 1935. In World War II, and in March 1941 he was sent to Greece with a force intended to stop the Italian and German invasion of this country, and at the end of April the army surrendered and most of its men were taken prisoner. On the 19th of July 1941, he tried to escape from his captivity, was killed and his burial place was unknown.
