Born on the 20th of Elul 5707 (August 21, 1947) in Sofia, Bulgaria, he immigrated to Israel at the age of two, and attended the “Shalva” elementary school in Jaffa and the vocational high school ORT in carpentry. In February 1966, Jacky was drafted into the army and was assigned to the Golani infantry brigade, where he completed a long and difficult basic training and was sent to serve in Battalion 12, where he continued his combat training and went with the unit for operational activities. . Jackie was discharged from the army in 1969. In the early years Jacky volunteered for the regular army and was assigned to serve in the Israel Air Force, where he served as the driver of the air force in Lod, Eilat, in the role of MA in emergency warehouses. In 1983 he was assigned to serve at the Tel Nof Air Force Base, where he served as a deputy car officer. During his service, he took a bus driver course, a management course and an educational training course for those with the rank of major sergeant. He also completed his education and passed his matriculation exams. Jackie received a certificate of excellence from his unit and from the air force commander. In his opinion on resistors, his commanders wrote: “Against a very good, responsible and dedicated person, and invests a great deal of his personal time in carrying out the tasks, showing initiative and resourcefulness, being independent in his thinking and serving as an example to his colleagues at work. Jackie was promoted to the rank of Major-General during his service, and Jackie was married to his girlfriend Dina and their only son, Moti, was diagnosed in 1989 with a serious blood illness. The signs of the disease reappeared, and Jackie was hospitalized at Assaf Harofeh Hospital on July 18, 1994. Jackie was laid to rest in the military cemetery in Holon. Survived by Raya – Dina and Ben – Moti, a mother and two brothers – Moshe and Aharon. He was forty-seven when he died. After his death he was promoted to the rank of sergeant Major General Yitzhak Rabin participated in the mourning for the family and wrote: “The State of Israel and the IDF are mourning the death of your loved one.
