Elharar, Doron
Ben Hanna and Charles. He was born on the 2nd of Shevat 5768 (February 1, 1968) in Be’er Sheva, and at the age of nine, Doron was orphaned by his father, who struggled with the pain of orphanhood and found comfort when his mother married Armond, whom they loved and raised with devotion. The beauty of nature captivated him, and he spent a lot of time in it, giving an innocent external expression to his love for the Land of Israel and the IDF when he adorned his room with both flags of the state. More practical expression was given when he volunteered, during his high school years, to the Civil Guard and was ready to help whenever he was called, day and night. Even during his military service, he did not abandon this activity, and during the vacations of the Sabbath he took care of his duty until the wee hours of the night. Throughout his career, in his family, at school and in the army, Doron acquired many friends thanks to his warm and pleasant personality. Doron studied at the Tse’elim Elementary School in Be’er Sheva and at the industrial high school at the Nuclear Research Center, and in February 1988 he was drafted into the IDF. He served in an elite unit as a driver for one year and eight months. When he asked to diversify his military service, he was appointed as a munitions officer. In this role, which involves maintaining and maintaining the unit’s ammunition, Doron showed exceptional dedication and responsibility. Throughout his two years of service, he has shown diligence, efficiency and determination to succeed. Doron Doron was found shot in the field of flowers on a sunny spring day after he left his army post on a military installation in the Golan Heights and was laid to rest at the cemetery. In memory of Doron, a nature lover, his family commemorated the establishment of a car park bearing his name – the “Doron Parking Lot” – in the Lahav Forest in the Negev.
