Eldar, Netanel (Nati)


Son of-Chaya and Pinchas was born in Ashkelon on September 18, 1955. Nati was recruited to the IDF at the end of January 1974 and volunteered to serve as a pilot in the IAF. After completing basic training, he was sent to a pilot course, and a parachute course was also passed. After completing all stages of the pilot course, Nati was a fighter pilot. He was a good pilot and an excellent professional. During his service, Nati successfully fulfilled many tasks within the corps. He participated in many operational missions and contributed his talent and ability to the security and well-being of the country. In late 1976 Nati was promoted to lieutenant. According to his commanders’ assessments, he is an example and a symbol of dedication, seriousness in work, and ability to carry out missions. He served in various capacities in addition to his role as a pilot: Served as an intelligence officer, as a vehicle officer, as a pilot, and as a systems officer. In August 1978, Nati married his girlfriend Amit and established a family and a warm home. Nati was discharged from IDF service with the rank of captain in November 1979, after three years of compulsory army service, and was called to reserve duty two months after his release, on the 15th of Tevet 5740 (15.1.1980) In the military cemetery in Kiryat Shaul, where he left behind a wife, and son.
