Elboher, Eliyahu (“Eli”)


Son of Moshe and Clara. He was born on 28.2.1949 in Tel Aviv. He studied at the Be’eri elementary school in Jaffa and at the Ort school for apprentices in Abu Kabir. He was a member of the Hanoar Haoved Vehalomed movement in its professional division. He worked in carpentry and had two hobbies: wrestling and soccer. When he was drafted into the IDF, he joined the “Massada” group in the Sde Nehemia farm (“Huliot”) and concentrated the nucleus, as part of a parachuting course and completing a platoon commander training course in the Six Day War on 29 Iyar 1967, the fourth day of the battles, Eliahu fell in Bir Gafgafa, Sinai, as the enemy tanks attacked our soldiers’ night camp, was buried in the emergency cemetery in Bari, and later transferred to the eternal rest of the military cemetery in Kiryat Shaul.
