Elbakhari, Yaakov
Yaakov, son of Rivka and Shlomo Elbakhari, was born in 1946 in Egypt. When Yaakov was 10 years old, the family immigrated to Israel and established their home in Acre. In August 1963, Yaakov was drafted into the army, and completed basic training and was assigned to the Ordnance Corps. In January 1966, Yaakov was released from compulsory service. In July 1967 he returned to regular army service. Yaakov was sent to a senior mechanic’s course and was trained as a diesel mechanic and garage manager. On 12 Av (7.8.1987) he fell while serving. He was brought to eternal rest in the military section of the Tzur Shalom cemetery in Kiryat Motzkin. He was survived by his wife, two sons and a daughter, his brother and two sisters.
