Elazar, Benjamin (“Benny”)

Son of Jacob and Esther. He was born on January 26, 1932 in the city of Kyustensil in Bulgaria. Immigrated to Israel in 1944. After completing elementary school, he studied at the agricultural school in son of-Shemen. Belonged to the Haganah and was a member of the Palmach and participated in the War of Independence and the Sinai Campaign, and during his service he attained the rank of Major. On May 6, 1958 he fell in the line of duty and was brought to eternal rest in the military cemetery in Kiryat Shaul lay a wife and a daughter.
