Eko, Shaul


Shaul, son of Rina and Shmuel, was born on October 18, 1943 in Cairo, Egypt, and immigrated to Israel with his family in 1950. Shaul was drafted into the IDF at the end of May 1962 and volunteered for the Armored Corps, where he completed his basic training course in tanks and tank commanders, and was assigned to one of the elite units. In 1967, he fought in the fierce battles in Ramat Golan and was awarded the “Six-Day War.” In 1971 he married his girlfriend Pnina Lisha and his wife, His daughter, Ronit, was born in the Yom Kippur War, and Shaul’s unit fought in the battles in Ramat Hag On the fifth day of the war, on October 10, 1973, the unit patrolled the outskirts of the village of Hoshenia, when a shell hit Shaul’s tank and he was killed on the spot. And a brother, a mother, four brothers and three sisters, and was promoted to the rank of sergeant
