Eisler, David (Hans)
Son of Greta and Walter, was born on February 10, 1925 in Graz, Austria. In 1939 he immigrated to Israel with his parents. In December 1947, he was drafted among the first to enlist in the Hagana. He served in the Givati Brigade, underwent military training and participated in receiving and maintaining the airport and the Tel Nof camp from the British. On the 25th of Adar II, April 5, 1948, two weeks before he was about to be married, David was killed in an accident in the Tel Nof camp and was laid to rest in the military cemetery in Rehovot.
