Eisenstein, Max

Son of Batya (Betty) and Yehoshua, was born on February 26, 1929 in the city of Iasi, Romania. Max studied for a few years in an elementary school and because of the distressed condition of the family he went to work and helped his parents as best he could. The family passed the decrees in peace, and at the end of the war the son separated from his parents and went to training and training in the Romanian city. When his turn came, he immigrated to Israel and was arrested for a year in Cyprus. In the camp he served as a training instructor and upon his arrival in Israel, the day after the declaration of the State of Israel (May 15, 1948), he enlisted and was assigned to the Armored Corps in the 7th Brigade. On the night of May 30-31 he went with his battalion to the second attack on Latrun, during Operation son of-Nun B, which was meant to break through the road to Jerusalem. Was the force of the half-tracks that broke into the police yard and in this battle fell on May 30, 1948. On the 25th of Cheshvan 5706 (17.11.1949), he was transferred to the military cemetery at Mount Herzl In Jerusalem.
