Eisenberg, Erez
Son of Nava and Uri. Born on the 2nd of Elul, August 16, 1969 in Kibbutz Ein Carmel near Atlit. Erez completed his mandatory service in the Armored Corps in 1990. In 1996, he joined the Plant Protection Unit, the Central Unit for Enforcement and Investigations at the Ministry of Agriculture. In December 2003, he joined the Israel Police. During his service, Erez advanced to the rank of advanced sergeant. He commanded about 200 volunteers who were part of the defense establishment. Erez was injured during an operational operation in 2010, but continued in his position faithfully. On Saturday morning he returned from a long activity, got into his bed and suffered a cardiac arrest in his sleep. Sergeant Eisenberg fell in the line of duty on the 26th of Nissan, April 30, 2011. He was laid to rest in the cemetery in Ilaniya. He left behind a wife, son and two daughters, parents, brother and sister.
