Eini, Menashe


Son of Yosef and Margarit. Born in 1934 in Baghdad, capital of Iraq, he completed his studies in elementary school, immigrated to Israel and immediately after his enlistment in the IDF, upon his arrival in his unit, he took upon himself the love and devotion of his duties. On Independence Day 1954 he was presented to the President of the State, Yitzhak son of Zvi, by his commanders as an outstanding soldier, and the President then wrote him a letter of appreciation and blessings for his tremendous efforts and contribution to the establishment and improvement of the IDF. Was injured in the course of his duty, and on the following day, on the 25th of March, 1956, with all the efforts of the doctors to save him, he died of his wounds. He was laid to rest in the military cemetery in Kiryat Shaul.
