Einhorn-Rotner, Israel


Son of Alta and David, was born in 1927 in the city of Bolshigurmut, Hungary. When Hungary was conquered by the Germans, he was 14. His parents were murdered by the Nazis, and he himself went through a long journey of suffering and suffering. During the Nazi occupation he was involved in rescuing children and transferring them to safety. On his way to Israel he spent some time in Italy and from there he immigrated on June 15, 1947, with the Hebrew language already in his mouth. Upon his arrival in Israel, he immediately joined the Palmach and served in the Negev Brigade, and fell on the 17th of Iyar 5708 (May 16, 1948) while leaving a mine in the Arab village of Brayer. He was buried in Nir Am. On the 25th of Kislev 5712 (December 4, 1950) he was put to rest in the Nachlat Yitzhak military cemetery. Remains of his family remained in Hungary.
