He studied at the Moshe Hess elementary school, where he spent his high school years in the military boarding school of the Reali School in Haifa, , Gave his eldest son the name of the fighting brigade, and in this spirit even educated him. Indeed, Yiftach had the distinct character of a warrior. From an early age he was very ambitious – an ambition that helped him succeed where others failed. The desire for knowledge was also characteristic of him, and he worked hard to acquire this knowledge on his own more than in his school. He absorbed his education from curious observation in the world around him. The military boarding school proved the strength of these qualities. Yiftach was short and lean and had difficulty getting his friends in the hard training. It was only because of his strong willpower that he managed to cover the gap that he was one of the school runners and the best graduates of the boarding school. At the beginning of November 1973, Yiftach was drafted into the IDF and volunteered for the naval commando, for various reasons he was forced to leave the unit, where he volunteered for the paratroopers and began everything again. He was then sent to the Infantry Officers Course, completed with an excellent grade, and assigned to a parachutist unit as an officer, and after that he was posted as a platoon commander. During his service he participated in a Litani operation in which he was lightly injured. Afterward, he volunteered for regular army service. According to his commanders, Yiftach was an “outstanding company commander, who played an excellent role. He has initiative and unusual ideas, in the positive sense of the word. He was an administrator and a model organization. With a tremendous willpower, a great grouping and radiating joy around him. Well, and sometimes too good for his subordinates. “Yiftah’s only weakness was his kindness:” As a religious person, I examined Yiftach by moral standards, and I opened up a very high level of morality – both in matters of work and In human relations. “Yiftach knew how to laugh with us and knew how to demand, although sometimes it was hard for him to be tough, he was too good for that, he had a soul. Of a child and the sense of humor of a light-hearted boy, all of which, in addition to his high level as a paratrooper commander, made him a great choice. ” “Yiftach was small in size but huge in spirit, and therefore he was also superior to us all.” On Wednesday, June 8, 1978, Yiftach set out with his unit for a raid on a terrorist base in Dahr al-Burj in southern Lebanon, during which Yiftach was brought to eternal rest in the military cemetery in Kiryat Shaul. He was followed by his parents, brother and sister, who was promoted to the rank of captain, and received a certificate of appreciation and respect for his service in the army, and he had plans to continue studying geography and knowledge of the land he loved and fell for. One of his soldiers visited him and handed him a handwritten note in his handwriting. In addition to his wishes for recovery, he wrote in a letter: “To Yiftah, the first and only one who taught me that you can love the IDF.” In a letter of condolence to the family, the then Minister of Defense, Ezer Weizman, wrote: “On behalf of the Prime Minister, the Government of Israel and my name, allow me to participate with all my Lev in your mourning from Yiftach. Captain Yiftach Ein gave his life for his homeland. He fell during the IDF raid on the base of the terrorists in Dahar al-Burj in southern Lebanon, and Captain Yiftah Ein served in the 50th Infantry Battalion. He was an excellent officer, a brave and beloved fighter for everyone who knew him. ” The commander wrote: “Yiftach commanded a company in the battalion, and performed this function in an excellent manner, while revealing an exemplary example.Which the unit has been in since the death of Yiftach z “l.
