Eilat, Dov (“Dubi”)

Son of Yona and Nitza. He was born on January 1, 1948 in Tel Aviv, at the height of the War of Independence. He completed his elementary studies at the Tel Hai elementary school and later attended the Geula high school. But after one year he stopped studying and began to work, and after a while decided to acquire a profession and studied bookkeeping. He loved light music and his main hobby was sports. After completing his studies, he was drafted into the IDF in November 1965. In his childhood, he was shy and modest, but when he was in the army, he became an alert young man who easily joined every company. He loved and was very proud of his participation in the Six-Day War. However, shortly thereafter, on the 26th of Av 5727 (1.9.1967), he fell while performing his duties in front of Ismailia and was brought to rest in the military cemetery in Kiryat Shaul.
