Eiffel, Mordechai (Moti)


Son of Jacob and Sultana. He was born on February 7, 1957 in Morocco, and in 1962 immigrated to Israel and settled in Hod Hasharon. Moti attended the Hadar Elementary School in Hod Hasharon and continued to study at the Mossinson High School in Hod Hasharon, where he majored in automotive mechanics. He was recruited as a mechanic, a car mechanic, before he was drafted into a military workshop, and was drafted into the IDF in early May 1975 and volunteered for the paratroopers. He took a parachute and infantry course and was promoted to Corporal. On September 26, 1976, Mordechai fell in the line of duty. He was brought to eternal rest in the cemetery in Ramot Hashavim. Survived by his parents, two brothers and a sister. In a letter of condolence to the family, his commander wrote: “Moti was one of the best in our soldiers, who volunteered for an elite unit and came to command.”
