Eichler, Benjamin

Son of Miriam and Shlomo, was born in 1928 in Hungary. In the Diaspora he experienced the horrors of the Holocaust and, after immigrating to Israel, was among the liberators of the Negev, as a soldier in the Golani brigade. Benjamin fell on the 7th of Tevet 5709 (7.1.1949), in the battle for the Rafah outposts in the operation “Horev” and was buried in Kibbutz Gvulot On the 16th of Menachem Av-Tash 5709 (August 11, 1949) he was transferred to the eternal rest of the heroes’ The military cemetery in Nahalat Yitzhak.
