Efroni, Shlomo


Son of Yaakov and Chana. He was born in 1913 in Sejera and was one of the first settlers to settle on the land, he was an agricultural instructor in the school run by Rachel Yanait-son of-Zvi, and as a teenager, he became a member of the Haganah and participated in the Haganah. He took part in various battles as a squad commander and was even wounded in the head: On the day of Tu B’Av 5709 (August 10, 1949), he was killed while performing his duties near Abu Ghosh, (21.6.1951) was laid to rest at the military cemetery on Mount Herzl in Jerusalem, where he left a wife, two daughters and two sons, the young one was born after the fall of his father and was named after.
