Son of Tovah and Aryeh. Born in 1903 in Safed, where he grew up and studied at the American University in Beirut, he studied pharmacology and returned to Israel, where he settled in Haifa and opened a pharmacy there. On July 7, 1938. in the Arab market, a bomb was thrown and Mordechai Efrat, who was there, was killed. Mordechai was laid to rest in the “Haganah” section of the Haifa cemetery. He left a wife and son.
