Edri, Yitzhak
Son of Simi and David, he was born on September 18, 1957 in Migdal Ha’Emek. Yitzhak attended the Giora Yoseftal Elementary School and continued at the Rogozin Comprehensive School. On August 2, 1976, Yitzhak enlisted in the IDF and was assigned to the Ordnance Corps. During his military service, Yitzhak took advantage of every vacation and went to travel around the country, because he loved traveling very much, and when he was discharged from the army, he worked for two years in a private chip factory. After his work experience, Yitzhak was hired to work as a professional scaffold at Rafael, and during the war for Peace in the Galilee, Yitzhak was called up for reserve duty and was sent to repair a vehicle that was in the vicinity of the Beirut airport. During the shelling of our forces, on 15 Av, August 4, 1982, the vehicle Yitzhak was sitting in was hit and he was killed on the spot. He was brought to eternal rest in the military section of the Migdal Ha’Emek cemetery. He left behind his parents, brothers and sisters, and his family donated books to the “Rabbi Yitzchak Ben-Walid” Synagogue in Migdal Ha’Emek.
