Edri, Meir (Milo)

Son of Fanny and David, was born on the 18th of Tishrei 5719 (2 October 1958) in Tiberias. Meir studied at Metzudot Elementary School in Kiryat Shmona and continued his high school studies for three years in Mevo’ot Yam in the marine mechanics course. When he finished his studies, Meir began to serve in the Merchant Navy and sail to the Far East, to the United States and to some capitals in Europe. At the beginning of November 1976, he was drafted into the Israel Defense Forces and assigned to the Israel Navy in an elite unit where he served as a mechanic, and Meir enlisted in the police force and served in an elite unit, (17.10.1980) he fell while carrying out his duties. Meir was brought to rest in the military cemetery in Kiryat Shmona. He left behind two parents and a sister.
