Son of Miriam and Isaac z “l, was born on March 15, 1956 in Morocco and immigrated to Israel at the age of six years. His parents settled in the city of Dimona, where Albert studied at the Alumim elementary school and the Appelman religious high school. In elementary school he was an outstanding student and liked everyone. In high school he became known as an outstanding athlete. In September 1974, Albert was drafted into the IDF and went with members of the “Amnon” nucleus to serve in the Tzur Natan farm, after which he moved with some of his friends to the “Bnei Aryeh” nucleus. Albert made a great contribution to his life and social life in his joy of life, which swept everyone away. Albert was a disciplined and dedicated soldier, but when offered to go to an officer’s course he asked to be released because he felt it necessary to return home soon to help his family’s finances. After completing his military service, Albert returned to Dimona, where he enrolled at the Technological College in Be’er Sheva to study and acquire a profession, but after only one year had to give up his studies and join his brother in his work. “My father, as his friends called him, was a warm and loving family man, and when he came back from a hard day of work, the smile did not leave his face, especially when his wife came to me with me and his little son, Itzik. The outbreak of fighting in the Peace for Galilee War was Avi among the first to report to the unit after seven days of fighting, about two hours before the cease-fire Fire with the Syrians, Avi was wounded by a shoulder blade and was unconscious at Rambam Hospital in Haifa.
