Eckstein, Noah

The son of Frida and Pinchas was born on the 5th of Adar I, February 7, 1927 in Lodz, Poland, where he and his parents were saved from extermination and immigrated to Israel in 1948. He was killed on thet 10th of Elul, September 14, 1948 during training, and was buried in Kfar Tavor. On 7, Tamuz, June 22 1950, Noah was laid to rest in the military cemetery at Nahalat Yitzhak. His parents, who remained abroad, longed for their only son, but no one dared to write to them the truth that the son was gone. Only when they came up to Israel they found out about his death.
