Dwight, Uri (Malcolm)

Son of Melissa and Elatiahu. Born on January 1, 1982 in Wolkite, Ethiopia, he was a smiling, bright, naughty and intelligent child, and was very sensitive to others. In 1993, when Uri was 11 years old, his family left Ethiopia for the arduous journey to Eretz Israel: “We went through a terrible agony,” his sister says, and the family left Walchett and walked dozens of kilometers to Dabat Who were taken to the Addis Ababa airport, where they were flown directly to Israel, where the Dwight family was referred to the absorption center in Be’er Sheva, At the beginning of his studies Uri moved to various schools until he began studying at a boarding school in Hod Hasharon, where he completed his studies at the six-year high school of the College of Management in Beer-Sheva, where he liked to help everyone. He had a desire to stand out in society, to gain a reputation for himself, to excel, and his surroundings enjoyed his sense of humor, and Uri was never complacent, always happy, his shining smile was shining on his face, and he did not share his difficulties or pain with his relatives. His family seemed to be “taking every difficulty easily.” Uri joined the army on 16 August 2001. He was happy to serve in the Israel Defense Forces and was well integrated into the military framework, and during his service, Uri held various positions: a Hammer operator, a driver, a non-commissioned officer, and more. His last job was in the Maintenance Department at the Military Tactical Training Center, where he had a number of experiences, always optimistic and self-assured, and as he did best, he said, “It will be good” or “It will be okay.” Uri dreamed of his future and planned it: He wanted him to have a large house and a garden next to him, he dreamed of marrying a woman, having children, and even considering signing a permanent order.Twenty- He was buried at the military cemetery in Be’er Sheva and left behind his parents, five brothers and a sister. In a lot of pain, “his sister said,” Uri was the sweetest and most loving of his life and left us with sweet memories in his death. We remember and love him forever. “
