Dvir (Dvoretz), Kalman Aryeh

Kalman Aryeh, son of Shimon-Reuven and Tzipora Dvortz (Dvir), was born on 17.2.1933 in Jerusalem. His grandfather was one of the most important rabbis of Lithuania and was active in establishing many Torah institutions. He served in the Israel Defense Forces in regular service and was killed in a battle that took place in the Golan Heights and was shot near Kuneitra on 5 Sivan, June 13, 1967. He left a wife and a child. Kalman Aryeh was laid to rest in the military cemetery on Mount Herzl in Jerusalem.
