Was born in 1945 in Yemen and immigrated to Israel with his family in 1949. The family settled in Kiryat Ata, where Yosef completed elementary school and was accepted to a vocational school where he learned the profession of welding, He joined the IDF in mid-November 1962 and was stationed in the Transport Corps. After basic training he underwent a driving course and was assigned to one of the units. He fought with his unit during the Six-Day War and was given the signal of battle. In late May 1965, Yosef was discharged from regular service and began to work as a truck driver in a truck company in Haifa, where Joseph married a wife and the couple had a son, Vashti Every year Yosef was called up for reserve duty and loyally fulfilled his duties: During the Yom Kippur War he was called up for a long service and returned home with the letter of battle on February 13, 1984, when Corporal Yosef fell during his service and was brought To rest in the military section of the Kiryat Ata cemetery.
