Dukshitzky, Nachum (Lonia)
Son of Shmuel and Olga, congratulations. He was born on September 18, 1931, in Sebastopol, Russia, and immigrated to Israel in 1959. He attended the Boulina elementary school, Tchernichovsky in Vilna. Nachum was a talented and diligent student. When he finished high school, he was awarded a silver medal as a token of appreciation for his academic excellence. Afterward he went to Moscow and studied there for five years at the Institute for Higher Economics and Foreign Trade. Nachum also excelled in his high school studies and successfully completed his exams. After graduating he began working in the city of Minsk, and in 1957 he traveled with his family to Poland. In 1959 he immigrated to Israel and was accepted to work in the construction department of Kibbutz Artzi. In 1962 he married Dora, and they had two daughters and a son. Nachum was a loyal husband and a loving and devoted father to his children. Nachum was drafted into the IDF in December 1960 and assigned to reserve duty in the Armored Corps, taking part in the battles of El-Arish and the battles of Umm el-Kataf during the Six-Day War, during which he served in the Jordan Valley Took part in the Yom Kippur War On 29.7.1974, Nahum fell while serving in an active reserve duty in the south of the country. He was laid to rest in the military cemetery in Kiryat Shaul. He left behind a wife, two daughters and a son.
