Andre ben Tatiana and Alexander. He was born in Ribinsky, Russia on the 14th of Kislav, December 6, 1976. Andrei became the leader of the Jewish youth community. and at eighteen, he arrived in Israel and was sent to a Hebrew ulpan in Kibbutz Ramat Yohanan. In October 1997, Andrei joined the IDF. Andrei served as a cook in Battalion 82 (“Ga’ash”) in the 7th Brigade of the Armored Corps. He loved his military service very well and performed his duties faithfully. On the 10th of Iyar, May 6, 1998, during an excursion in Nahal Yehudiya, Andrei was killed at age twenty-one, and he was laid to rest in the military cemetery in Tiberias, leaving his parents and sister. The condolences to the bereaved family The Chief of Staff, Lieutenant General Amnon Lipkin-Shahak, wrote: “Andrei was described by his commanders as a serious soldier who carried out his missions with great independence and helped those around him at all times.”
