Duanis, Mordechai (“Mordi”)

Son of Avraham and Luna. He was born on the 27th of Kislev 5707 (27.11.1944) in Istanbul, Turkey. Immigrated to Israel in 1949. He studied at the Remez Elementary School in Rishon Letzion and later at the ORT vocational school. He was one of the choir singers “Hillel and Singing”. He made a living from the carpentry work. He was drafted into the IDF in November 1962. He fell during his duties on the 17th of Iyar 5723 (17.5.63) and was brought to eternal rest in the civilian cemetery in Rishon Letzion.
