Druck, Aryeh (Leibish)


Son of Bluma and Eliezer. Born in 1911 in Tarnopol, Galicia, Poland, he served in the Polish army and after his release joined the Gordonia movement and a group of its members immigrated to Eretz Israel in 1935. During the 1936-1939 riots he participated under the command of Orde Wingate And later joined the “Organization of the Galilee”, and as part of the nucleus of this organization he settled in Shimron, in the Jezreel Valley, where he joined the ranks of the Haganah and enlisted in the Guard Corps on April 16, Returned from planting work in the King George Forest together with his friend Natan Hirschfeld, and near the Arab village of Ma’lul, the two men were shot from an ambush that Arabs from the village of Mazarov had been carrying. Was buried in the Beit She’arim cemetery, where two sisters in Israel and his parents and the rest of his family were killed in the Holocaust, and a memorial list was published by his friends in the journal “Talmim”.
