Daughter of Alona and Yevgeny. She was born on February 17, 1987, in Odessa, Ukraine. Sister to Yiftah. Ira was born on a special winter day, a day when the snow fell and the cold frost, but the sun shone and spread its rays in all directions. Mother Nature smiled at the blonde girl with big blue eyes. Ira was a pretty, smiling baby girl and a stubborn little girl. She had always insisted on her. When she was six months old she said the first word: “Papa” (father); At the age of nine months she began to walk; And at the age of three she danced and recited fluently and fluently, together with her groupmates. The children danced and recited the songs, and of course they received applause and admiration from the parents and those around them. In the garden Ira loved to sing, dance and engage in all the activities that gave to the creativity in which the expression. In March 1994, her father Yevgeny died of lung cancer. On November 16 that year, the family immigrated to Israel: Ira, seven and a half, her mother and grandparents, Yevgeny’s parents. They set up their home in Ramot, Haifa. Ira enrolled in second grade, and until sixth grade attended the Fichman elementary school in Haifa. She then moved to junior high and high school “Alliance” Haifa, where she studied law and law. She was a kind child and loved to help others. The Yaffa girl grew up to be a flowering young girl, sometimes modeling. She continued to dance and proved her skills in ballroom dancing. She was a wonderful daughter, a true princess in her family and among her friends. When she was 12, her brother Yiftach was born. Ira loved to laugh and enjoy. She liked to spend time in pubs with a friend, Daniel Mirkin, and dance at clubs on Moriah Street. But the two preferred intimate recreation in one of the Carmel restaurants, where they sat and watched the green landscape and the open sea to the horizon. On July 21, 2005, Ira enlisted in the Israel Defense Forces and was assigned to the Civil Protection Unit of the Civil Guard and the Civil Guard Unit in the Neve Sha’anan neighborhood of Haifa. Ira loved her police work very much. During the Second Lebanon War in 2006, the station absorbed many new volunteers, who turned to the Civil Guard at the time, to strengthen the home front. Ira worked hard, from morning to night. On the evening of Tisha B’Av, on her way back to her home in Sapir, she suddenly lost control of the car and crashed into a lamppost at one of the curves of the road and was killed on the spot. Ira Drovitzky fell during her duties on 8 August 2006. She was brought to rest in the military cemetery in Haifa and raised to the rank of sergeant-second after her death, leaving behind a painful mother, brother and grandfather. Three years after her death, on 27.11.2009, her sister Maayan was born.
