Dray, Aryeh


Arieh, son of Hasiba and Masoud, was born on February 19, 1954, in Tiberias. At that time his family lived in Rosh Pina. After the family moved to Acre, he attended elementary school in the city. After graduating from a high school in Kfar Chabad, his family moved to Jerusalem in 1952. The family, who arrived in Israel from Morocco in 1952, encountered the difficulties of absorption and acclimatization of new immigrants, Who was aware of the family’s difficulties, went to work to help support his livelihood, worked as a carpenter and brought his salary to his home, thus making it easier for his mother to allow his younger siblings to continue studying, and he was always surrounded by friends and friends who loved to spend time with him. Watching movies and doing various sports Arieh was drafted into the IDF in early February 1972 and assigned to the Armored Corps. After completing basic training, he was sent to a tank unit. During the period of his service in the IDF, he did not abandon his family, he visited the house and spent his vacations and spare time to work and help the family, and he participated in the battles of the Yom Kippur War on 19.1.1974. He was brought to rest at the Mount Herzl cemetery in Jerusalem, leaving behind a mother, eight sisters and four brothers, and was promoted to the rank of corporal.
