Doyle, Eliahu (“Eli”)


Son of Ya’akov and Mazal. He was born on 25 November 1948 in the city of Rabat, Morocco. The family immigrated to Israel in 1952. At the age of school Eliyahu studied at an elementary school. He belonged to the Youth Organization in Shikun Dalet in Upper Tiberias. He then studied printing at the Tel Aviv Printing School and went to work as a printer. In May 1966, he was drafted into the IDF and served as a sabotage officer in the engineering unit, and he was still in the middle of compulsory service when he died in the course of his duties, on Wednesday 7 November 1967. He was laid to rest in the military cemetery in Kiryat Shaul.
