Dorni, Yechiel
The son of Shalom-Yehuda and Sa’ada. Yechiel was born in Petah Tikva in 1914. He studied at the “Talmud Torah” for Yemenite Jews, and his parents, modest and honest people, educated their son in a national-religious spirit. He was active in the service of the Haganah and was loyal to his mission, engaged in paving and then selling ice, and always took care of his elderly and exhausted parents. Yechiel was drafted into the IDF in 1948. He died of his wounds on the 21st of Adar 5709 (March 22, 1949) and was laid to rest in the military cemetery at Nahalat Yitzhak. He left a wife and a son.
