Dori, Nissan

Son of Moshe and Malka. He was born on the 8th of Adar Alef 5711 (February 14, 1951) in Ramat Hasharon and studied at the elementary school in Kedma and later moved to the “Nitzanim” marine boarding school. In addition to his passion for sports (soccer and distance running), he liked to carve wooden figures and collect old things (coins, etc.) After four years of study at Nitzanim, he boarded the ship Moledet and later worked in a fuel tanker that sailed to Africa. When he learned of the loss of the Dakar submarine that many of his classmates had served in, he broke his spirit and decided to leave the ship. In his conversations he emphasized that if something happened to him, he should not be angry with the Arabs and hold them against the ground, because they are fighting a war that they think is right and it does not matter if others think it is not. On 24 May 1970, he fell in the Jordan Valley in an encounter with the enemy. He was laid to rest in the cemetery in Kiryat Shaul.
