Dodin, Yehuda


Son of Pnina and Isaac. He was born on October 6, 1911 in Rehovot. He attended elementary school in Rehovot and completed his studies at the Binyamina Gymnasium in Rishon Letzion. When Judah was seven years old, Judah and his brothers were orphaned by their mother, and their father continued to treat them with devotion and love. After completing his studies, Yehuda worked as a clerk in the local council in Rehovot and assisted in the establishment and management of the Magen David Adom. In 1941 he accepted the call of the institutions and enlisted in the Medical Corps in the British Army. He served as a paramedic in an Indian unit that operated far from the borders of the country and was the only Jew there. His unitmates loved him very much and appreciated his professionalism at work. On August 21, 1943, Judah was buried in Persia and brought to eternal rest in the military cemetery in Baghdad, followed by a brother and sister, whose name was commemorated in the book Yizkor, published by the Jabotinsky Institute. 22K4, Unit Royal Army Medical Corps Rank Stoker 2nd class Age 20.
