Dobrich, Nehemiah
Nehemiah, son of Shoshana and Yitzhak, was born on the 4 th of December 1947 in Petah Tikva. Nehemiah was drafted into the Israel Defense Forces in early August 1965 and was assigned to the Artillery Corps after completing basic training and was sent to serve in one of the corps units in the south. He made sure to keep in touch with his family and friends. Was a devoted son to his parents and a model friend. After completing his mandatory service he began studying at Tel Aviv University, in the Faculty of Law. At the end of the first year he married his girlfriend from childhood Ora, and a year later their son Yaron was born. Nehemiah was a loving husband and a wonderful father. He successfully completed his studies at the university and was accepted to work as an intern at a law firm where he completed his internship at the end of two years. His co-workers testify that he was the spirit of the office, with a sense of humor, and always knew how to say the right word in the right place, without condescension or arrogance, and thus became known among his friends as a natural leader of society. At the outbreak of the Yom Kippur War, he joined the members of his unit and fought in the Golan Heights. While members of his unit broke into the village of Jaba in the Golan Heights, he was seriously injured in the shelling and taken to the hospital in Safed. Two days later, on the night of October 17, 1973, he died of his wounds in the hospital and was brought to eternal rest in the Petah Tikva cemetery, leaving behind a wife and a son.
