Within a short time, he was appointed battalion sergeant. His friends in the unit note that he performed the various tasks assigned to him with a strong desire to succeed and strove to prove that, despite his young age, he is suited to fill positions that require great responsibility. His only drawback, according to the battalion, was his warm closeness to his subordinates. Since he grew up from them, was unable to punish them or to show them the image of the tough sergeant, always defending the soldiers and even if they were found guilty of violating a specific order, Which was held in Jerusalem. His name was Avi, to whom I felt not only as a brother, but as a friend in times of trouble. He worried about me as a young man, and now that I’m growing up, I need him now and need him near me. But now, just now, it is hard for me to feel it. Now I can sit next to him and cry because he can not help me. “
