Dilal, Yehezkel


Son of Avraham and Gizela. He was born on 15.1.1930 in Iraq. He completed his studies in six grades. Later he moved to the Menashe Salah school. He was a member of the Zionist movement in the underground organization, and always dreamed about immigrating to Israel. He introduced the pioneering spirit to his friends as well. Finally he found the opportunity to immigrate to Israel, through secretly passing the Persian border, and from there to Israel. As soon as he arrived in Israel, he was drafted into the IDF, and all his life he claimed that without blood, tears and sweat, we would not have a home and freedom. His friends and commanders saw him as a good soldier and a great friend, and were very proud of him. On April 6, 1951. Dilal was killed In a battle in the Jordan River near the Sea of ​​Galilee. He was buried in the military cemetery in Rosh Pinna. On the 19th of Tammuz 5706 (19.7.1955) he was laid to rest in the military cemetery on Mount Herzl in Jerusalem.
