Deutsch, Shimon
Son of Meir Vital. He was born in the city of Mul-Asher, Yugoslavia, and spent four years of high school there, working as a leather worker, and after he escaped from a German labor camp, he joined the ranks of the Yugoslav partisans and served for two years in the Yugoslav army (1945-1946). When he was released from the army, he tried to escape from there with his weapon, but was caught on the border and sentenced to two years in prison. Was killed in a battle in Sinai in Rafah on the 27th of March 1957. He was buried in the military emergency cemetery in Bari and on the 12th of Marcheshvan 5711 (November 6, 1957) he was put to rest at the military cemetery in Kiryat Shaul. He left a wife, a son and a daughter.
