Son of Ernst and Tatiana. He was born on September 27, 1920 in Irkutsk, Russia. The family moved to Estonia where he graduated from elementary school and high school. During the Second World War, he served in the Czech Brigade on the Russian front and received three medals during the battles; In one of the battles in the Carpathians he was wounded. In 1949, he immigrated to Israel as a member of the Czech Army. He fell in battle at the Jordan River near the Sea of ​​Galilee on the 5th of Nissan, 5701 (1951) and was brought to rest at the military cemetery in Afula.
