Son of Tzitzil and Ze’ev, was born on 20.10.1926 in Kibbutz Mishmar HaEmek, where he acquired his education. Had a poetic soul and a stormy temper; Brilliant with good-hearted juicy humor. He wanted to dedicate his life to art, music and poetry, and even tried with pen-writers. He was loved and loved by all his knowledge. In January 1947, he joined the Palmach and was sent to the Ramat Yochanan group, where he was sent to a commanders’ course and then transferred to a training course in Yagur, Hazorea, Gvat, Hasharon and Tel Yosef. And participated in the explosion of the radar station on Mount Carmel. With the outbreak of the War of Independence, he was among the attackers of the village of the rioters in Ladd a-Sheikh. He then moved to the Western Galilee and participated in the battles of Shfaram, Kabri, and Yehiam. Raphael served for a time in the Hanita group as a guide and was transferred from there to Mishmar Ha’emek. At the same time, he joined the infantry battalion in the Golani Brigade and served as a guide, taking part in the conquest of Megiddo and June and in the battle for Jenin, on June 8, 1948, in an attack on a failed Lubia, Was with his platoon on one of the Lubia authorities. In the morning the Kaukji attack began, and then he was wounded. However, despite his wounds, he continued to command his men until he was wounded again. When his friends came to his aid, he was wounded in the third and killed. Only six weeks later he was laid to rest in Kibbutz Mishmar Ha’emek.
