Deshe, Gilad

Gilad, son of Su-Zohar and Eitan, was born on July 10, 1952, in the Galilee. Volunteered for Magen David Adom, and in addition to music lessons, he also participated in a folk dancing class. When a film was produced for the transportation of the Rehavia Gymnasium, Gilad was among the activists. He had never been quiet, had so many things he wanted to do, had deep rootedness, and a series of values and principles he had jealously guarded: he was very interested in Jewish sources, familiar with synagogue customs and familiar with the way of life in the kibbutz. He was very devoted to his friends and continued to maintain long-term ties with people who helped them in his role as Magen David Adom. He often visited the homes of acquaintances around the country, and often went to Kibbutz Ma’agan Michael, where he was staying with his father’s family, which he loved so much, but most of all he was connected to his mother and found a common language. Gilad was drafted into the IDF in early November 1970 and assigned to the Armored Corps. In the course of his service, he took part in a training course for the Armored Corps, a course for armored personnel carriers, a training course for infantry commanders, and an officers’ course. He was always the first in everything-both as an excellent officer among us all, and in evenings of entertainment-when he sang to us and played the guitar. He was a loyal, honest, heartfelt and always Simcha man, a great patriot and a fine soldier. “In the officers’ opinion, he was told:” A reliable officer with great willingness and excellent ability. “In the Yom Kippur War ,he served with his unitCompany commander at the southern front. In the bitter containment that took place on the outskirts of Kantara on October 6, 1973, Gilad fell and was brought to eternal rest in the cemetery on Mount Herzl,
