Deri, Yossi
Son of Bracha and Asher. He was born on August 24, 1967 in Kiryat Yam near Haifa. He studied at the Alumim elementary school until the fifth grade, when the family moved to Kiryat Haim and completed the Maginim Elementary School. He continued his studies at the Kiryat Haim high school in architecture, which required him to invest many hours and hard work, but he received everything in good spirits and successfully passed his matriculation exams. Yossi taught children in private lessons, loved music and was a counselor in the Hanoar Haoved movement. He was a very family boy. Took care of his two little brothers and took pride in them all. Yossi was drafted into the IDF in late October 1985. He was stationed in the Signal Corps in the Golan Heights and successfully completed a wireless course, and was transferred to the Air Force Technical School and continued his service in the field of education and culture in the unit Yossi fell during his service on Wednesday, (20.4.1988). He was twenty-one years old when he fell. He was laid to rest in the military cemetery in Haifa. Survived by his parents, two sisters and a brother – Lilach, Inbar and Haim. In a letter of condolence to the family, the commander of the unit wrote: “Your son, Sergeant Yossi Deri, was tragically killed in a road accident, Yossi was an exemplary soldier, friend and friend, always willing to help and lend a hand when he was asked. Caring. ” In his memory, the song reads: “The fortieth night of Israel / Fireworks and hammering hammers.” / In the darkness of the night he went to his fate, What is terrible for those who remain / And every evening at twilight / the tracks will begin to move stars / and one star will sparkle and say: ‘Mother, I am here.’ “
