Son of Shimon and Hasiba. Was born on December 9, 1957 in Afula. When he reached the age of five, the family moved to Kiryat Motzkin. When he completed his elementary studies, Shalom entered the Kiryat Shprinzak High School and studied for one year. From there he moved to the international vocational school in Kiryat Haim. During his studies there, he specialized in the profession of motor mechanics. In the year he remained until his enlistment in the IDF, he began to work as a car mechanic and satisfied his superiors, making sure he did not work for even one day, even when he was not feeling well. , Who lived in urgent conditions, and in early December 1975 he was drafted into the IDF. The IDF was able to derive the proper benefit from its proficiency in the mechanics of motor mechanics, and was placed in the Ordnance Corps. In the opinion of his superiors, which was recorded after his death, peace was said: “A quiet, dedicated, responsible soldier, with a good profession.” Indeed, his dedication to service knew no bounds.
